I have been using this shaver for 4 months now and consider it good value for money. I am rather prejudiced against expensive shavers; I used to buy top-end models but always found the life of the rechargeable batteries disappointing, so I used mains-only for a while. However, good experience with other Braun kit persuaded me to try again.
This is certainly not a top-end model, but the build quality and performance are up to the mark. It gives a good close shave in a gratifyingly short time and is quiet and comfortable to handle. As is typical with foil shavers, longer hairs can be missed, but if a mirror is to hand, these are effectively dealt with by the trimmer, which also works well on sideburns.
A full charge is supposed to last about 30 minutes. I have not timed it, but it translates to about 9-10 days' worth for me. There is a charging light but no battery level indicator. However, a noticeable change in note of the motor gives at least a day's warning of low battery.
The shaver comes with a hard case, invaluable for avoiding damage to the foil head when packing. It can even be charged when in its case. Cleaning is simple as the business end is waterproof.
I have one slight reservation. The mechanism holding the foil head looks to me as if it might be vulnerable to wear and in fact putting it one way round (it is symmetrical) gives rise to a slight "buzz" when shaving, although the other way is quiet. Time will tell.

The service i have recieved from Shavers via its web site is spot on, i don't belive anyone could do better.
I now have had 3 Braun shavers (similar models) and they have all performed well on my heavy stuble used on a daily basis.
The foil on these shavers tends to fail after 18 months to 2 years use and the cost of replacement with new cutter is around £24.00, since new savers cost £29.99 it is daft to purchase a new foil and cutter. The same situation applies if you replace these item as recommended after one year. Because of this circumstance i now have 3 working shavers, 2 of them with worn out foils.
It seems to me that foil and cutter spare part packs, are purposly over priced to increase shaver sales??? This action must be wrong. It could be, that reserching the cost of other manufactures spare parts will result in cheaper shaving and longer shaver life.
