Went for this Wahl shaver as I already have one of their hair trimmers which is solidly built and works well. Don't have much experience of electric shavers (been a wet shaver most of my life but had to stop that for medical reasons) apart from a cheap Aldi/Lidl shaver which worked well enough but did not give a very close shave. This Wahl shaver gives a much better shave - not quite as good as a wet shave but very close. The shaver feels very solidly built but comfortable to use; it gives the impression that it will last for a long time. The head comes apart easily so it is simple to keep clean. More expensive than the Aldi/Lidl one but a lot less than others you can buy: for me it is good value. Shavers.co.uk ordering was simple and delivery was quick. All in all - no hassle and pleased with the product.
Bought as a Christmas present for my father. I hadn't heard of the brand before, but really, really pleased. He loves the close shave it gives & handles very well. Great value too. I bought the Wahl after it received the Which? Best Buy award in the most recent survey. I'd previously had a Braun Series 7 shaver, with which I've been very happy but which was coming to the end of its days (probably on the 4th replacement head by now!). I just couldn't get a satisfactory shave with the Wahl and it took twice as long to get a shave finished as with the Braun. I've had three shaves with it now, trying different techniques with each one (much lighter pressure, slightly harder, leading with different sides etc and the same disappointing results each time.
