  • Temperature readings can vary from person to person and although there is not a 'normal' temperature reading, a temperature taken orally tends to range between 36.1°C and 37.7°C. A rectal temperature is generally 0.5°C higher and an underarm (axillary) temperature will be 0.5°C lower.
