It's a quiet shaver, and gives a good, comfortable, reasonably close shave. As others have said, don't like the shaver lead compared with a charging cradle. Don't like the position of the on-off switch: keep turning it off when shaving. Disappointed Philips couldn't include a small brush for cleaning out after a shave. Only 4 stars because of these shortcomings.
Something odd about having a 'Rats Tail' charging cable. Just can't get used to it. I much prefer a charging cradle than a plugin lead. Feels too light and cheap. It does give a clean shave but you will unintentionally turn it off by accidentally pressing the power button. A clean shave is this reason I would recommend it, especially if you can buy a much reduced in price offer. I paid £100 for one off eBay but I consider it not worth more than £70.00. As a lifelong wet shaver, I am pleased with the shave this razor gives me. After 3 weeks the shave has improved which may be due to my face adapting, my developing skill and the use of a quality pre shave solution. My morning ablutions are now a few minutes shorter and less complicated. I like being able to clean it under the tap, and one charge seems to last for many shaves, 8 after the first charge, so I am sure it will be great when I go off in my Motorhome.
