I used Braun shavers many years ago but got increasingly disappointed and frustrated with the lack of closeness of the shaves and as it continued to on downward spiral I switched to Panasonic. This was one of my best moves ever and over the years it has proved to provide me with satisfyingly close and trouble free shaves and the advice on choice of shaver from Shavers was " spot on ".and this latest purchase is without the most closest and most comfortable available. So a BIG thank you to Shavers for excellent prompt service and Panasonic for world beating product with Japanese expertise in making premium blades,
I've been a customer of Shavers.co.uk for over 12 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else, the advice provided is second to none as is, of course, the service. So having had 4-5 Panasonic units and a Braun thrown in for good measure (as I seek the best ever shaving machine) I took a break a grew a beard for 18 months. After deciding to start to shave again I took my LV95 out of retirement, a great shaver indeed, but the LV9Q caught my eye, after a long series of discussions with Luke "The Guru" Gisby at Shavers HQ, I decided to upgrade up to the LV9Q. OK so the LV95 is no chump, so was it worth the upgrade, in a word YES. It is just that teeny bit better, the units are very similar, slight differences with the foil patterns and of course the gold coloured rollers, the head floats a bit more but nothing too drasticly away from the 95. The cleaning units are much the same, but I feel that the 9Q unit seems to be more exact at what it's doing. So down to grass roots, whats the shave like? The shave is close, I would say closer than the 95 by a fraction, the shave is far more comfortable than the 95, speed of a shave between the two is negligible to be completely honest. Where the 9Q wins is this, when it misses whiskers it doesn't miss them a second pass!! It's also softer on the skin so for sensitive skin it's a godsend. Long review but worth it, upgrade with confidence!
Took a couple of weeks to adapt to it, but now it is great. I use it dry as wet shaving irritated by skin despite trying different sensitive creams and gels.
