A fantastic shave.

Been using Philip's rotary shavers for over 40 years getting a reasonable shave but my last shaver, an S900, I was disappointed with. The shaving heads wore out within warranty and although Philip's replaced them, the new replacements wore out even quicker. Yanking out whiskers, causing a rash under the chin and around the throat and not shaving me as well as I had come to expect, so I thought rather than just replace the heads again, I'd buy a new shaver. I did some research and after much consideration I decided to take a gamble, (it had been 40 years) and change from rotary to foil. But which one?. I had used a Remington once when I was staying at a relatives house and that was terrible, (I had forgotten my shaver), so that left Braun, which was my original preference or Panasonic. Having read the reviews and watched video reviews on YouTube, I started getting drawn to Panasonic ES LV9Q and ordered it off this site which was by far the cheapest I found and I'm happy to say I made the right choice. It's fantastic. My first shave was a 2 day growth and I got a really close shave. Far closer and smoother than the Philip's and really not too far off a wet shave with a decent quality razor blade. My skin was a little irritated and a bit pink but nothing to really bother me. Second day, more or less the same. Third day, a really good close shave but no irritation and now after a week my skin is now well and truly used to it. I use the clean & charge system daily and find it really good. I love the fact that it dries your shaver for you. I've never had that before and it really is great. So, do I recommend this shaver? The answer is an undoubted yes. This shaver delivers the closest and most comfortable of shaved for me. I wish I'd switched years ago. So, if you are considering a new sha

A satisfying close shave - taking longer than anticipated.

I purchased this based on research and reviews. I wanted a shaver that would be much quicker and more effective than my rotary one. The shaver was received even quicker than anticipated. Reviews suggest that a full charge will provide around 8 shaves. I am finding that I only get 4 if I want as close a shave as possible all round but I am prepared to acknowledge that others are faster than I am. Maybe practice will make perfect. However, if I take time, I am achieving a closer shave than I felt with any previous shaver. I also received very good pre and after sales service throughout.
