It was a toss up between buying the Panasonic ES-LV65 Arc5 & the Panasonic ES-RF31 & I ended up with the former on the basis of existing reviews & the belief that the dearer model must be better. Well I should have saved myself £37 because I have found the LV65 to be very disappointing. I have used it both wet & dry & in either mode it does not give me as clean a shave as my inexpensive supermarket own brand wet razor with 3 blades! I wouldn't say don't buy it because it clearly does a good job for some people, but I am sorry to say I am not one of them because I feel that I have wasted £90 that as a pensioner I can ill afford to lose.
Following an accident it was necessary to buy an electric shaver . ( i have been wet shaving for over 60 years ) I did buy an electric shaver about 50 years ago but compared to the one recently purchased it was the proverbial chalk and cheese
I have alway used Braun Shavers untill now and I am 69 years old. I got fed up with 20 minute shaves listening to something that sounds like a loud clapped out Volkswagen, so, I change to this Panasonic shaver. I have many Panasonic products - TV's, Cordless Drills etc., ( but non of them gave a close shave ), so I know that Panasonic product are very good and I decided to give their Shaver a go. This shavers is the Dogs ... it is quiet, light and gives an AMAZING close shave in around 3 minutes or less. My Wife ( bless her ) has always said that I have a chin like a rabid porcupine, even after 20 minutes with a braun and a face covered in tissue to stop the bleeding where it bit me. Using this Panasonic shaver is like being kissed by a fairy, I cannot recommend it highly enough, it's absolutely amazing and at this price it's a steal !. I am very very happy with it and my Wife is so pleased the porcupine has left the building !
