I recently purchased this razor as a Black Friday gift to myself, since Shavers.co.uk were advertising this at an amazing price of just £65!! Too good an offer to miss. I have tried most well-known brands of electric razor in the past and have always had to “finish off” with a blade razor in order to get an acceptable smooth finish. Until now. The Panasonic system offers a totally different shaving experience – the sonic motor sounds more like an electric toothbrush than an electric razor, and effortlessly cuts through stubble to leave skin very smooth, but without razor burn. The cleaning options that are available allow flexibility of cleaning either with or without the self-cleaning recharger. I am planning to do a weekly detergent clean, and replacing the cleaning cartridges monthly, which still works out economical since a triple pack of three cartridges costs just £11. The most expensive replacement item is the combined foil/cutter pack at £36, but with regular cleaning/maintenance this expenditure should be minimised. In terms of the Company I have never experienced such efficiency and professionalism in the way they operate. Next day delivery is the norm with free postage with orders over £15. I had a query which I sent by e-mail one evening around midnight – got the reply at 9.15am the following morning. Also had a technical issue on their web site when placing an order, but this was soon resolved by their technical expert over the phone. First class service all round!!
I was looking for a replacement for my Panasonic ES8101, whose battery was starting to become a bit weak after 5 years.
Very impressed with the closeness of the shave and the speed. Also less irritation that before. It's not just fresh blades - I did change out the blade on my old unit once but have never had it as good as this.
Nice having the charge indicator with percentage as well.
Haven't tried the shaving cleaner device, but never needed one before - probably won't use it. Usually just hot tap water and some anti-bacterial hand-wash does the trick.
