Had one of these four years ago and this performs even worse than the old one it was supposed to replace.
This is my 2nd Philips BG2024/15 Bodygroomer which makes me laugh as my last one lasted well over 3 years and still works but holds no charge anymore. Philips do not make it easy for you to replace the batteries. I spent ages looking for this model because of how easy it is to use. I use it every 3 days to keep my hair on my head short and it works a treat. Yes of course I use it elsewhere but the main use is my head. 50mins use 8 hour charge it is simple. Is it worth the money? YEP! What am I going to do in 3 years time when it fails? God Knows!! Well worth the price. Philips BG2024/15 Bodygroom Series 3000 Body Trimmer This review is based on my first use of this item. First of all, I thought the comb was quite good, and not nearly as flimsy as other reviews made out. It's recommended that the comb is used first to trim long hairs, and then removed to shave down to skin. I found the comb most effective when attached so that the comb fins are facing upwards, whereas attaching the other way round caused the hair to get stuck in the pearl tips, continually needing to be cleaned out. I must admit that it did pull on a long hair because the hair made contact with the hypo-allergenic foil beneath the comb attachment, but I quickly turned the item off and easily removed the hair. When shaving without the comb attachment, the shave is both exceptional and dubious. I'd definetly say caution is needed when using to shave in the groin area as if too much pressure is applied on the pearl tips, they can peirce more delicate skin. That being said, the hypo-allergenic foil leaves unmatchablely smooth skin with no skin irritation and no bleeding. VERDICT: I'd recommended that this product be used in combination with a razor. As a result of the caution needed when using on more delicate skin, it can be very time consuming to shave with this item. Therefore, I'd say to primarily shave with a razor and then finish with this product on areas that you want to be particularly smooth. For £29.99, it's unmatchably smooth, whereas razors at this same price might cause bleeding.
