I purchased this set because it was identical to my old set, in that it had clippers, a battery powered trimmer and the nose/ear hair trimmer. It is exactly what I needed. However, the battery powered trimmer is not a beard trimmer, like in my old set. There is no adjustment attachment with it, so it is just a trimmer. In fact, I'm not sure what it's purpose is, since it can't be used except to clip hair down to the skin. Other than that, perfect.
