First thing to say before the negatives, I suppose, is that the finish is generally OK. The rechargeable battery is still going strong after over two years of weekly use. For the price, it comes with a surprising range of accessories, and a rubbish but still useful stand. Its compact size makes it easy to pack with you if you're going away for a while.
Getting there is a pain though. I find the shaver often catches on my beard hair, which is really painful. The slider on the height-adjustable blades is a nightmare to use. The finish is a little uneven, but not hugely so.
I'm here looking for a replacement because I don't feel that shaving my beard should hurt as much as it does! Cheap and cheerful, but I think it's worth spending more for better blades.
I found this an easy item to use. The blades were fine enough to deal with the close cuts, the fixed height attachments were a great addition, a little fiddly a first but with time will get easier to put on and take off. Or just leave the adjustable length head on.
I tried all the heads and just the blades, all worked perfectly. I dont normally leave reviews but after spending a lot of time and money on various "Gimmicks" the market has to offer I decided to let you know about this item. Look no further.......
I have been using a Wahl since 1999 and loved it's simplicity but decided I wanted a mains chargeable unit. The Groomsman incorporates all that was good about my old model and more.
This is great value for money and from a distributor whose service is it's equal. Thanks!
