I expected the bristles to be a little more abrasive - they are very soft. Supposedly to allow you to use every day. Has transformed the shaver into a multi purpose device ( which is brilliant ) Using on medium setting doesnt seem to use alot of battery which is a bonus. Using the brush attachment itself - you need to be slow and methodical, which takes a little getting used to
