Although my ER-GB40 still works it isn't performing as well as it did so I decided to upgrade to the newer model. Although there isn't a lot of difference cosmetically, apart from the colour, it still performs as I had hoped. The inclusion of the body trimmer adapter may be useful, yet to try it. I was glad to see that the charger design has been improved, my one gripe would be that the charging light doesn't turn off to let you know it's fully charged (which was also true of the previous model). Apart from that minor complaint, the ER-GB52 remains a cleverly designed, compact and effective trimmer which I am happy to recommend.
Best trimmer I've brought. It's skin sensitive so it does not hurt you. Would recommend 10/10
