Bought this to replace a series 3 as the cost of replacement heads on an 8 year old razor did not seem cost effective compared to the cost of an upgrade. I chose the series 7as I was not convinced that the series 9 was worth the additional outlay and high cost of replacement heads. A number of other reviews I read confirmed this opinion. This razor is a definite improvement on the series 3 and after a couple of shaves it provides both a quicker and closer shave. I am pleased with this purchase and it is easy and comfortable to use. The only difference I noticed was the slightly higher noise level which quite honestly is not any sort of a problem. As I have only had the shaver a couple of days I can only say so far so good, and I do not regret my purchase decision.

This is only the second shave I have had on the new series 7. it runs louder than my series 3. But I guess it takes a while to get used to a new machine.
