I used a foil shaver for years then moved to a Philips 7000 in an attempt to avoid burn and bleeding after shaving. Philips have now stopped making replacement shaving heads and their 'new improved' 7000 has different heads anyway the shave will be different. It's also ridiculously expensive. Saw this and took a chance based upon need. Absolutely no bleeding or burn. Cleaning is simple and drying is easy if you give it a shake first - I shave in the shower so there is no debris left in the head. A bonus is the very affordable spares - under half the price of Philips. Very pleased and recommended for anyone who suffers with shaver burn and/or bleeding.
I had a Braun 9 series which was excellent but I needed a spare one and have bought the current 5 series and it has proved to be fantastic. Easy shave and easy clean is the best description for this product.
Totally unsuitable for travel. 'Easy clean' is the claim. Yes, filling the shaving head with water. Try packing away dribbling shaver in case with clothes. You cannot properly dry it out even when the cutter and foil sealed unit is unclipped from battery. That also means you can have no idea in what state the hidden blades are. Not good, if going by all the after-shave debris still around battery top after said water-washing. On positive side: gives a lovely smooth shave and quieter in operation than the old series 5 model.
