I have been a braun guy for years, latest was the 7XXX series, i have since sold that and purchased this razor, this is the absolute best razor i have ever owned. Thank you so much Braun! I have noticed peeling of the lettering below the shaving blade area but other then that it works great.
This is the latest in a long line of Braun shavers that have served me well over the years. I tried a Phillips for a while but couldn't get on with the rotary style and so went back to Braun a year ago with a new 9565.
Initially the battery life was good - I got 2 weeks from a charge. The shaver itself was good, if a little less robust in feel that the previous ones and noisier. The long hair trimmer was especially "tinny" and seemed fragile. It also was more awkward to use, sticking out from the body so much, compared with the previous style trimmer. However, the shave was as good as ever and the combined foil and cutter was a great improvement, as was the ability to wash it off.
Now, after a year, I find the battery life dropping fast. It is now just a week and has fallen to that in the last few weeks. If it continues to decay at this rate it will be useless in 6 months. Also, the long hair trimmer has become loose and temperamental. I am sufficiently upset at it that I have contacted Braun to see what they suggest. It will be interesting to see what they say.
Overall the shaver is fine - a good shave and pretty good with the long hair problem. However this model is let down by the battery and the trimmer (but I'd probably still buy another Braun!).
My old remington is now in the bin where it belongs and i will be sticking with braun in the future
