My SmartClean works great for my S5420 however... I get that the website is aesthetically minimalistic and it really is easy to shop and find what I needed but there needs to be more details on the individual products. For example, I bought the SmartClean and when it arrived there was no power cable, no instruction manual and it turns out that I had to buy cartridges to go with it. None of this was explained on the site. As for using it I went onto YouTube to find out, then discovered that I needed cartridges. If there was more details when I bought it I would've been much happier, I'd still have bought the SmartClean and cartridges all the same, but it just leaves a slightly sour taste in my mouth that I had to buy them separately within the space of 24hrs. Thankfully, the power cable for the S5420 shaver fits the SmartClean otherwise that would've been another £20 extra expense. The SmartClean works brilliantly though, can't fault it. A quick 10 mins is all that it takes to clean the shaver, once a week I'm lead to believe, with the cartridges lasting 3 months each. I bought a 4 pack which'll keep me going roughly a year. Simply put the shaver in, push down on the top to secure it and press the start button. The shaver gets charged up fully and is nice a quiet at the same time, then its ready to go, which is handy as I'm usually likely to forget these things. I'll still need to do a manual clean of the shaver head using a shaver brush now and again... which I've also bought from Shavers !! Communication with the company is really quick, simple and great, so thanks to Luke for sorting me out with what I needed. Wish I could a better score but having to buy twice in the space of 24 hrs still get me.
My new Philips SmartClean System for my Philips 7000 Series sensitive shaver is amazing. It cleans my shaver perfectly. Ready for my next shave. It also charges it.
