No electric shaver will beat an old fashioned blade.
Bearing that in mind, you can still get a good shave from an electric shaver. I get a good shave from this one. It doesn't hurt like my other 3 previous Phillips Wet & Dry shavers. That were about £50 each. I liked them so much I bought this one.
After my first shave I noticed a few missed hairs that I kept on trying to pull out while at work. But as the days went by I got used to the way the shaver works and now only occasionally I'd find a missed hair.
The shave is close and smooth even though I have a heavy thick growth.
Charge time is about an hour.
Easy to clean.
Great in the shower.
As you can use this with water I use shaving gel and get that, "fresh shave" feeling after.
If you are used to a blade then allow your two weeks for you skin/growth to get used to the shaver. This was written in the instructions of one of my first shavers, but it's true.
The attachment for sideburns is rubbish but don't let it put you off this shaver - I just use the wife's razor for that bit.
It is a very nice and very soft on the skin, I am very happy with it, thank you to Philips.
