I've had this shaver for 2 years and am looking forward to changing it. I had a Remington before this and was very pleased. You could tell the old one was doing it's job as it sounded like a coffee grinder as it ploughed through my beard with ease. Unlike this one here that struggles to cut on a new charge and you can hear the motor slowing under the load.
In my opinion this shaver is totally under powered and should be avoided at all cost. I wish I had my old Remington back!!!
I wish I'd found this website before I bought this shaver- I'm looking at it now because I feel I need to change shavers from this one. My last Remington shaver died mid shave after several/many years of great shaves so consequently I needed another one fairly quickly. I stuck to Remington as I've had several over the years and found them good.
I was disappointed with this one though. I don't find it gives a particularly close shave and having to go over areas of my face/neck frequently often causes irritation (physical and mental!!) I do wonder if the shave is worse after cleaning it with water...I did check the instruction booklet again to make sure it was washable! maybe the water blunts the blades a bit? also the on/off button is a pain. It's quite easy to turn off accidently when you're shaving as your fingers remain very close to the button. Aslo it's very easy to accidently turn on. If my wife hadn't heard a buzzing coming from an overnight bag my shaver would have been dead the next morning with the electric cord at home. Not a great design.
I'll now continue to browse this excellent website for my next shaver. Many thanks. I found you through google.
i recently got this shaver and i must say it has to be the best remington shaver since the older xlr models it is very close at shaving its powerfull and the battery stays charged a good time a great shaver for a good value price.
