Bought for a Barbering course, after I'd already completed three years of a Hairdressing Diploma, and this clipper is simply god-awful. It does nothing my Oster clipper couldn't already do, and every single client it's been used on complains it "bites their skin" with at least 70% of them developing a nasty rash that can last for a few days. Other students who were also given it as a "required item" for the course have also all encountered the same issues. My tutor has looked at it and attempted to adjust the blades, but he says there is almost no possible adjustment possible due to a rather inflexible design. Where I work, results in the salon with it have been identical. My boss there has also tried to adjust the blades before simply announcing that "it is a heap of absolute rubbish" and banning me from taking it into work again. Whatever you do, don't buy this rubbish. The Wahl 8081-917 5 Star Series Detailer is absolute rubbish.
