Designed in the fashion capital of Milan, the Panasonic ER-GK40 Milano Body Shaver offers style, performance and ergonomics with advanced technologies. It is perfect for younger individuals who have had less experience with electric shaving but want to avoid skin cuts associated with traditional shaving whilst still achieving great results.
The body shaver can be used wet with water and shaving foam or dry and is fully washable allowing for a smooth and refreshing shaving experience. The body shaver’s water-through head makes it easy to clean as it enables water washing without having to remove the stainless blade.
Rubberized grip and a slim, compact design make the shaver easy to hold and it offers up to 28 minutes operating time.
The body shaver also comes with an underarm safety attachment and has 3 comb adjustment steps of 3mm, 6mm and 9mm and a wide fixed blade set at 40mm allowing for a long or short hair finish. Additionally, a special 0.5mm attachment allows for safe dry shaving.
A charging stand is included which can also be used to store your shaver neatly when it's not in use. This stand is also compatible with Panasonic’s ER-GB40 Milano Hair and Beard Trimmer and ES-SL41 Milano Shaver.
I had been using the Phillips BodyGroom, but after getting fed up with the appalling quality of the Phillips replacement heads (some breaking only after a few weeks!), I decided it was time to ditch Phillips and go in search of something new to keep me smooth and smiling!
I tried the Braun Cruzer, but didn't find it suited me, so I was delighted to discover that Panasonic made this little beauty.
I've been using it for a few months now and have to say I am really pleased with the results, the shaver is nice and stylish, comfortable to hold with it's rubberised grip and the build quality is excellent (better than the Phillips BodyGroom). It comes with a charging stand which plugs into a standard 3 pin socket, and glows red while charging - the only downside is the colour doesn't change to indicate when the unit is fully charged, but I just leave it on overnight and turn off in the morning and it seems to hold it's charge very well.
The unit is waterproof so can be used in the bath or shower, which is where I find it gives best results with some foam or shower gel. It can be used on all body areas below the neck - under arms, arms, legs etc, including, with a little care, the groin area too.
The shave is really nice and close (I would say closer than the Phillips) and without any irritation, leaving my skin silky smooth.
If you'd rather trim than go completely smooth than there is also various length comb attachments included.
Cleaning the unit couldn't be simpler, just slide back the clever little tab and run under the tap.
If your looking for a body groomer/shaver then I can highly recommend the Panasonic as being the cream of the crop!
