This is truly excellent and I thank Mark and co for all their help and advice. I had a Braun before, which was quite good and then decided to upgrade to a Philips expensive trailhead job. That one gave a very poor shave and huge degrees of razor burn. It also felt shoddily built - NOT good.
The Panasonic on the other hand was very well built, solid and gave a very comfortable shave either wet or dry and still feels nearly as close as an old fashioned razor. Very pleased

Have now had 2.5 years with my best shaver ever, the Panasonic ES8163. What a revelation in closeness and comfort! And technically brilliant too.
Normally use Dry, but sometimes have a Wet shave for a change.
Wish I'd bought a Panasonic earlier and enjoyed many more great shaving years.
I had an earlier panasonic that I'd liked, but it was getting a little tired. I tried the Philips Arcitec, which was not bad and great for some areas, but didn't really replace the Panasonic.
I took a gamble and tried this and it is fantastic. The sound is different from the older one, it seems much faster, cuts better, and I reckon this is the best shaver that I have owned.
