Item received next day in perfect condition, thanks: 10/10 for service.
Bought to replace HQ7740 where battery died: this is much lighter & quieter in use, but the flimsy-looking cutting heads take a bit of getting used to as does the stand.
Also this model lacks the hanging cord, which is a shame as the stand won't live in the bathroom. Shave is just as good, but slightly disappointed by the feel of the product.
Supply from shavers uk first class. However, Philips are bottom of the pile. I have tried to get the conditioner ever since I bought the razor ( 6 weeks ago), but to no avail.A site purporting to be Philips called Philips Coolskin@home took my money but has been unable to supply. You are referred to premium rate (0845) Philips customer service who say supply is no problem and recommend that conditioner is purchased from Olympic (aka Shavers UK) but they have been out of stock. So Shaver is waste of money however good it might be when you have the conditioner.
There has been a recent manufacturer shortage of the Nivea conditioner, however as of early November we now have good stock levels, although we can't comment on other retailers.
Purchased Philips HQ7782 from Shavers.co.uk last year and although I have found it perfectly acceptable it "died" yesterday. Hoping it would still be under guarantee I was relieved to dig out the invoice and find I obtained it in August.
Rang Jenny at Shavers who could not be more helpful. When I explained that I was going on holiday shortly it looked as though I would not have it back repaired or replaced until my return. The model is out of date anyway so Jenny suggested that if I would take the HS8040 in exchange she would send it out immediately trusting that I would return the 7782. This was acceptable to me and today the new Philips arrived! She even offered to replace 2 full boxes of gel with a cartridge for the new model.
New shaver at least as good as old one and service absolutely superb. Thank you Jenny, thank you Shavers.
