I bought this shaver back in April, and although I think it is a good shaver I have had to return it twice for replacements due to major power problems (like it keeps turning itself on and won't be turned off). All credit to Shaver centre though for their service .
I noticed remingtons titanium range a while back but was sceptical because they were considerably cheaper than other brands, but based on advice I decided to plunge in and get one. The titanium foils and the intercept trimmer really worked well in capturing everything underneath it. All in all a great buy and a great electric shaver.
ms5500 is a catastrophe.Grossly over engineered & flashy, shaves very badly, does not trim AT ALL. Have removed one of the three cutters, so performance down by 33%. half cutter does nothing (like the trimmer). Have used Remingtons for 30 years, but no more. Good service from shaver centre though.
