Braun 5775 Flex XP II Men's Electric Shaver Reviews

Good Product

This shaver has a nice weight to it & the build quality looks good.

From reading reviews on the net, I was a little worried about the size of the step-down transformer built into the 2-pinned plug on the flexi-lead but it's tiny & not much bigger than a standard 2 pin shaver plug.

Yes, the travelling case only accommodates the shaver & not the lead or the mount BUT I'd rather it that way. The mount is not needed for charging & you only need the lead if you're travelling for over a week, such is the level of charge this shaver holds.

Why not 10/10? In addition to a travelling case, all my previous Braun's came with a Perspex type guard that clipped over the foil to protect it from mechanical damage. Not having this guard whilst my shaver is in its case is not a problem but I do not like the idea of my shaver standing in the charging mount without some kind foil protection. A small gripe but come on Braun, you obviously recognised the need for a guard previously so why not now?

Disappointed with product

This is about the product not shaver.co.uk.

The flex xp 5775 case is too small for the shaver thus will not close or accommodate the charger stand or lead. When I first charged it the charging light turned off an 1 hour in to the first charge (manual demanded 4 hours), stand and lead do not fit together well therefore easily disconnect.

The shaver lacks power compared to my old flex integral 5550 (like lowest setting), the trimmer is near useless, the closeness of shave is poor. If you don't shave everyday, this certainly is not up to the task.

The shaver grips seem to misplaced, the only redeeming feature is that it is less brutal on your skin. Do not waste your money on this as Braun have not bothered putting effort in to second class version of the flex integral model.

Try the activator (Braun 8595) instead, the reviews are good.

Excellent

Replacing my old Braun 1508, the Braun 5775 Flex XP 11, Is super! Trimming around my beard and under the chin...No Problem ! The only downside, ( Note Manufacturers) Is that the charge/mains lead does not fit into the travel case.A problem to small to take away any points! Well done Braun and Great sale Shavers.co.uk
