This is my second one bought after the battery started failing after 2 and 1/2 years. I changed the foil after 2 years but still got 7 shaves for a full charge.
If you keep it oiled twice a week (Wahl clipper oil) after washing with liquid hand soap, the foil rinses out in hot water.
So I am using the old foil on the new shaver and have a new one ready for 18 months time! However you will need an adapter as it only comes with a 2 pin plug.
After a lifetime using Braun shavers, and I am 61, I am very disappointed in this model.
Whilst the feel and control of it is excellent, I find the shaver heads do not last for any length of time. Instead of the 18 months expected, and as advertised, the head is only good for a few weeks, and I then struggle to get up to 6 months use.
I have a light beard so shaving should not be, and never has been, difficult, until I bought this model. I only dry shave with it but that should not be a factor as it is a wet and dry shaver.
Such a shame that I have lost confidence in the brand that I have always admired.
Just my experience and if anyone can tell me where I have gone wrong, please do. This is my polite opinion for Braun.
