This is Braun's replacement to the 8595 Activator shaver. Changes are subtle and many of the proven existing technologies remain.
The main upgrade is a redesigned foil with a new cutter and a more radical integral trimmer designed to catch the longer rogue hairs while stimulating the skin to help normally missed hairs stand up and be cut.
The overall shape is similar to the Activator range and the clean and charge unit is the same item that worked well before.

This is a great value for money investment. At 74 my growth is quite well established and I have been a wet shaver all my life. Unfortunately a slight hand shake gave me the odd skin nick, so a change was due for me.
Had I known what comfort it was I would have made the change years earlier. An all singing all dancing piece of kit that tells you exactly what it needs, and when.
I have until now cleaned it every day, however the cleaning fluid needs changing after only 6 weeks. May need to reconsider cleaning cycle to be less costly.
Most Comfortable Shave in 40 years

This shaver took me a week to settle in with. Since then I have been very satisfied in the 9 weeks of use. It is definitely the smoothest shave that I have ever had. After shaving I spray alcohol based cologne onto the shaved skin and it does not sting at all HONESTLY!
I do not do the cleaning as asked by the shaver display, but leave it until the battery needs a charge (8-14 days). I was unsure about the price, but am now happy to have paid the offer price.
